Maintenance Technician

About the Role

We’re looking for a skilled and reliable Maintenance Technician to support the safe and efficient operation of our manufacturing facility. In this hands-on role, you’ll be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing a wide range of industrial equipment—including stamping presses, robotics, welders, CNC machines, and more.

This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys solving complex mechanical and electrical issues, working with modern manufacturing equipment, and contributing to a high-performing team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform mechanical and electrical repairs and adjustments on production equipment
  • Read and interpret electrical schematics (low voltage up to 480V 3-phase)
  • Troubleshoot wiring, motor controls, and sensors
  • Diagnose equipment malfunctions using observation and precision tools
  • Fabricate parts as needed for repairs
  • Execute preventive maintenance tasks (lubrication, conduit bending, wiring replacement, etc.)
  • Maintain inventory of equipment, parts, and supplies
  • Complete routine inspections, adjustments, and maintenance activities
  • Operate manual and power tools safely and effectively
  • Accurately document work orders, maintenance records, and labor time
  • Start up and shut down facility air compressor systems
  • Perform general building and facility maintenance

Qualifications

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to stand for extended periods
  • Comfortable working at heights (including manlifts and ladders)
  • Ability to lift and handle parts weighing up to 50 lbs
  • Capable of manipulating heavy machine components during repairs

Tool and Die Repair Technician

Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced Tool & Die Repair Technician to support our manufacturing operations by maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing stamping dies and tooling. This role is critical to ensuring production quality, minimizing downtime, and supporting continuous improvement on the shop floor.

If you have a strong background in metalworking, enjoy diagnosing complex tooling issues, and take pride in precision craftsmanship, this is a great opportunity to join a high-performing team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform scheduled maintenance and emergency repairs on stamping dies
  • Operate toolroom equipment such as lathes, mills, and grinders to fabricate and repair components
  • Diagnose tooling issues in production and implement corrective solutions
  • Inspect dimensions, alignment, and tolerances using precision measuring instruments (micrometers, calipers, dial indicators)
  • Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and CAD/CAM files
  • Use welding and hand tools for die assembly, repair, and modification
  • Maintain accurate records of repairs, modifications, and maintenance activities
  • Ensure work areas meet cleanliness and organization standards
  • Accurately document ERP data including maintenance logs, part orders, and labor time

Qualifications

Required:

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Minimum of 5 years of tool and die repair experience

Preferred:

  • Journeyperson apprenticeship in a stamping environment
  • Extensive experience in tool and die repair within metal stamping operations

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to stand for extended periods (up to a full shift)
  • Ability to lift and handle components up to 50 lbs
  • Capability to safely load and operate machinery such as grinders, mills, and lathes
  • Strong visual acuity (near vision of 20/30 or better, corrected or uncorrected)
  • Ability to distinguish colors for inspection purposes

  • Travel: Less than 10%
  • Work may be performed independently or collaboratively depending on production needs
  • Training provided in accordance with company quality systems
